Good Bye, T440s

It must have been the night of November 14, 2019 that my good old Thinkpad 440s died. Not sure how, but it did not show up in the morning for breakfast. Stayed a black mirror with no more lights and lids on.

I can only guess what happened and think that it was killed by its own heat in my rucksack over night. I did not recognize this until the morning of the next day as I went out alone and found the beloved piece of hardware cold.

We had gone through some things, I had broken its Enter key over time by hitting it too hard but managed to fix it with two component glue. It was even better than before. The lan socket was broken, too, but with putting some heavy things on the cable it still worked.

After five years time is over for us. I replaced it with a Thinkpad P1 Gen 2 which still is a little bit strange to me. The worst thing: It has no stickers at all.
