Wittgenstein in Music
Ludwig Wittgenstein again lends his words to a song. After M.A. Numminen released “Worüber man nicht sprechen kann, darüber muss man schweigen” in 2007 the Jazzrausch Bigband from Munich these days came out with their first album at ACT label called “Dancing Wittgenstein”.
The song by the Jazzrausch Bigband is as remarkable as the one by Numminen - although much more danceable :-).
I came to the band via Youtube first watching their gigs at Harry Klein’s in Munich. The studio album that they just have released lacks this sweaty spirit from the techno club and sounds much cleaner. Seems that the same rules apply to them as to Labrassbanda. But maybe it is not just a matter of sound but also of the visual layer missing on the album, seeing the people dancing to brass techno. Have a look at how cool they are!

My favourite, Möbius Strip (not Wittgenstein though)
Are there more songs with lyrics by Wittgenstein?
