tekethics | Thoughts on Ethics and Technology in Engineering

On June 22, 2019, I was invited by the lecturers of the block seminar Blue Engineering to lead a workshop unit on technology and ethics in the engineering sciences. Students from many different fields of engineering were in attendance.

After a round of introductions, in which all students mentioned their motivations and subjects, it was quickly possible to combine current technical trends with their own specialist areas. An interesting conversation developed in which it became clear that an interdisciplinary group, which had come together more or less by chance, was very reflective about acting as engineers.
